Jamil is the Vice President of Operations. He joined the Philly BioBreak team in January 2008.
He is currently in his second year of business school in Wharton's Health Care Management program. During the summer of 2011, he interned in Genentech's business development group.
Prior to Wharton, Jamil worked at Quaker Partners Management and two of Quaker's portfolio companies, NuPathe and TetraLogic Pharmaceuticals. At the startups, he had business development, finance, commercial operations, and R&D planning roles. While at Quaker,
he contributed to due diligence on investment opportunities, management of the existing portfolio, financial reporting, and fund raising.
Prior to Quaker, Jamil worked at Cambridge Pharma Consultancy as a life science management consultant focused on pricing and market access strategies for late stage clinical and commercial stage products within the pharma, biotech, medical device, and diagnostics industries.
During his graduate and undergraduate education, Jamil conducted research in the University of Pennsylvania's Department of Bioengineering's molecular biophysics lab studying cellular adhesion and motility in a number of disease areas.
